Hillary Clinton & her supporters held an Election Rally at St. Mary's University in Texas & I decided to go. I'm not for Hillary, but at the moment I'm for no one. My personal beliefs are that I don't feel anyone is really qualified for this position. As South Park would say,
"I think voting is great, but, if I have to choose between a douche and a turd, I just don't see the point. But I learned that I'd better get used to having to pick between a douche and a turd sandwich because it's usually the choice I'll have..." -- Stan
Anyway, I was given a Press Floor pass for being with the paper I work for & got to shoot photos w/ the big boys like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, etc. It was really nuts. Being apart of history in the making is pretty fun.
p.s. she kept making that weird face...90% of my photos were her doing that, I suppose she was speaking..but still.
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy said something similar: No one who runs for president is qualified for the job, simply because they only watn the power. Likewise, the only people fit to run the galaxy do not want to. How, then, do you find someone who can?
It's mostly paraphrased, since I can't find the actual page that it's on.
Even though I don't like Hillary, I still think its cool that you were able to get a Press Floor pass. I'd love to actually get in to just about any press conference, but since I can't vote in the primaries, I'll have to wait another four months.
I always meant to see/read HGTHG but just never got around to it. It's completely and utterly true about politics. But, like I said, I'm for neither candidate & just went to be able to say I was there & got to experience something I never have. The press pass was pretty sweet, to say the least. Thanks for your comment, John!
